Voici The Hollow Crown, une série historique produite par Sam Mendes pour BBC 2. Elle adapte les quatre pièces de la seconde tetralogie historique de William Shakespeare, “the Henriad” : Richard II, Henry IV parts 1 et 2, et Henry V.

Richard II

King Richard finds himself having to try and settle a dispute between his cousin Henry Bolingbroke and Thomas Mowbray. He decides that a duel should be held but then stops it just before swords clash. Both men are then banished from the realm. Richard goes to see John of Gaunt, Bolingbroke’s father, who reprimands the King. After seizing Gaunt’s money and lands following his death, Richard leaves for wars against the rebels in Ireland. Bolingbroke returns to try and claim back his inheritance.

Henry IV Part 1

Prince Hal defies his father when he spends time with his time at Mistress Quickly’s tavern in the company of the Falstaff and his companions. The King is threatened by a rebellion led by Hal’s rival Hotspur, his father and his uncle. Prince Hal joins his father at the Battle of Shrewsbury killing Hotspur in single combat.

Les réactions de Plant, Page et Jones sont vraiment excellentes.

J’aime bien le moment quand Jimmy et John bougent leur tête en rythme, ou encore lorsque Robert a la larme à l’oeil. So much win.

Wild Horses est une chanson des Rolling Stones tirée de l’album Sticky Fingers, écrite par Mick Jagger, Keith Richards et Gram Parsons.

A l’origine écrite par Keith Richards en 1969 à l’occasion de la naissance de son fils, Marlon, Mick Jagger aurait réécrit les paroles pour parler de sa relation avec Marianne Faithfull qui était en train de s’effondrer.

La légende veut que, le refrain “Wild Horses couldn’t drag me away” ait été la première phrase qu’aurait prononcé Marianne Faithfull après être sortie d’un coma suite à une overdose en 1969.

Portal est un jeu vidéo de réflexion et d’action en vue subjective développé par Valve en 2007.

Le jeu consiste en une succession de parcours que le joueur doit franchir en téléportant son personnage ou des objets à l’aide d’une arme capable de créer un portail spatial entre deux surfaces planes.

Portal: No Escape est un court-métrage de Dan Trachtenberg qui reprend la trame du jeu et met en scène Chell qui découvre le Portal Gun et essaie de s’échapper de sa cellule :

Sympa comme tout cette adaptation, on en verrait bien un long-métrage!

Lazy Teenage Superheroes est un court-métrage réalisé par Michael Ashton avec un budget de seulement 300 dollars.

Nous suivons Ty qui essaie de motiver ses “super” amis – Mitch, Cal et Rick – pour arrêter de jouer aux jeux-vidéo, quitter le canapé et utiliser leurs pouvoirs pour essayer de sauver le monde.

Les effets spéciaux sont plutôt sympas, a mi-chemin entre Heroes et Misfits.
